Week 6: Halfway there!

Halfway There: Reflecting and Recharging in Week 6

Week 6 update: In total, I've lost 3.4 inches across my body, with reductions in my stomach, waist, biceps, forearms, and calves, showing progress in muscle definition and overall tone.

We’re 6 weeks into this 12-week challenge, and I’m feeling pretty good about the progress! I missed a couple of updates here but I've been consistently working out 4 to 5 days a week (lifting), drinking more water, and sticking to my meal plan with around 80-85% adherence. While the scale hasn’t shifted much, I’m noticing some fantastic changes in my body: my skin is tightening up, and I feel more confident with every workout. It’s the small victories like these that keep me going and building habits for the long haul.

Looking back, the discipline to stay consistent has been my biggest win. Showing up even on the tough days has built my confidence, and it’s taught me that I’m capable of more than I imagined. As the famous quote goes, "Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment." If I don’t follow the program fully, I’ll never know what I’m truly capable of achieving. So, for the next six weeks, I’m making a few adjustments—tightening up my diet, staying laser-focused on hydration, and pushing even harder in my workouts.

Here’s to celebrating those small wins and staying motivated for the second half of the journey! The best part? I’m halfway there, and I’m just getting started.

And while improving my health is the goal, I must also share that staying focused on my fitness is also helping me stay energized for the other important parts of my life such as family and work. Staying engaged, committed, and being present allows me to experience the balance of abundant living fully. Although it’s not easy I am fully invested in every area of my life as much as I can, as a wife, mother, sister, and friend, all while working full-time.

It’s not easy, but I’m committed to giving my best to every role in my life, just as I am to this fitness challenge. As I move forward into the next six weeks, I'm determined to keep pushing for progress—not just in the gym, but in all areas of my life.

It was suggested I start a 30 day water challenge to boost my daily intake, and while I don’t hit the target every single day, I’ve increased how much water I drink overall. That’s been a game-changer for my skin, hair, nails, and overall glow—not to mention how much better I feel when I’m properly hydrated. It’s another small adjustment, but it’s making a big difference as I continue this journey. Until the next update, Drink up!
